Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Labels are very versatile and can be used on almost any product where you can affix them to a flat surface in order to prevent shoplifting. The label is infused with a circuit allowing them to be detected by the same security antenna at the front of the store which detects hard security tags. Labels can be deactivated at the time of sale by either a Deactivator Pad or by Detuner Labels. Typically sold in rolls of 1000 or 5000 they are available in a variety of frequencies including RF 1.81, 1.95, 3.25, 4.8 and 8.2MHz as well as AM 58KHz.
