Retail Security for Pharmacies
Pharmacies often need to protect a wide mix of merchandise, including over-the-counter products, cosmetics, health and beauty items, and other high-theft or high-value goods. Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) can help as one part of a broader loss-prevention program.
INEO offers EAS systems, RF 8.2 MHz security labels, hard tags, deactivation equipment and store-specific starter packages for pharmacy environments.
Choosing the right pharmacy setup
The right configuration depends on the width and layout of the entrance, the merchandise being protected, and whether the store will primarily use adhesive labels, reusable hard tags, or both.
For a single standard doorway, one INEO antenna can be a practical starting point. For entrances approximately 6 feet wide or wider, INEO generally recommends two antennas, one on each side of the doorway. Each antenna operates independently, so a second antenna can be added later if needed. Final sizing should be confirmed with the INEO team.
Pharmacy starter package
The INEO Clarity Pharmacy Starter Package combines a Clarity RF 8.2 MHz antenna with commonly used RF security labels and checkout deactivation equipment. It is designed as a practical starting point rather than a one-size-fits-all final configuration.
Expected results
No responsible single theft- or shrink-reduction percentage applies to every pharmacy. EAS performance depends on merchandise, tagging strategy, staff procedures, store layout, compatibility, installation and other environmental factors. INEO recommends treating EAS as one layer of a broader loss-prevention strategy rather than as a guarantee of a fixed reduction in theft.
